Stirling MSP Evelyn Tweed was left impressed after attending the launch of a new exhibition at Bannockburn House by Airdrie-based fine art photographer Mark Leslie.
Mark combines digital photography with the style of famous artists such as Rembrandt, and in this particular exhibition has used volunteers of the Bannockburn House Trust as his subjects.
The Bannockburn House Trust successfully undertook a community purchase of Bannockburn House in 2017, and an army of volunteers have diligently spent that past few years cleaning, organising and maintaining the House and estate as one of Stirling’s premier visitor attractions.
Evelyn Tweed MSP said:
‘I was delighted to attend the launch of this exhibition by Mark Leslie. His works are absolutely fascinating, and using volunteers from the Trust as participants is a wonderful way to recognise their efforts over the years. Stirling has so many hardworking and active community groups, who are all improving their community in their own way. I’ve been pleased to see the Bannockburn House Trust progress over the past few years, and everyone should pay the site a visit when they can.’
